We are looking for a  hands-on data modeling expert to lead the onshore delivery of a transaction monitoring optimization engagement for a large US bank. The focus is reducing false positives in high-volume, low-conversion monitoring rules by moving from broad rule cutoffs to statistically grounded segmentation and classification models. You'll be the primary onshore point of contact and navigating the client's data environment, driving analysis, developing models, and coordinating a small offshore team, while keeping the work aligned to the bank's model risk governance standards.

Purpose of the Role

The Project Controls Director holds overall accountability for designing, deploying, and directing a comprehensive, fit-for-purpose project controls system for a new nuclear new-build project.

The primary objective is to give the Project Director and executive leadership an objective, evidence-based picture of project health across scope, milestones, expenditure, actual progress, risks, and emerging changes. Operating within approved project governance, the role ensures that project data directly informs timely, corrective decisions rather than serving solely as historical documentation.

The Director establishes the governance baseline linking Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), organisational accountabilities, budgets, integrated schedules, and performance analytics. Controls must remain proportionate: rigorous enough to spotlight critical-path risks and schedule erosion early, yet sufficiently streamlined to drive action across site delivery teams without excessive administrative burden.

The foundation is solid: a centralized Redshift data warehouse where all source data lands, modeled in dbt and orchestrated by Airflow, with Segment feeding event data in. You won't be stitching scattered sources together, the platform exists; your job is to make it trustworthy and keep it that way. We're mid-migration to Lightdash as our single BI platform, replacing Tableau and Metabase.

Here's the honest gap: everyone on the team today is an analyst. Data quality, tracking standards, and platform hygiene get done as side work, squeezed between analyses. Nobody wakes up thinking about them, which is exactly the job we're hiring for.
