The Foundation: The Tetra Foundation is a newly-formed charity, registered with the UK Charity Commission, dedicated to the provision of first-class international training to aspiring seafarers from Nigeria, with a view to a significant positive impact on youth unemployment and poverty.

The aim is to rapidly scale existing operations to provide participants with globally-recognised seafaring qualifications, and a platform for successful maritime careers, and in turn to transform lives and communities in Nigeria.

1. Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations across all streams, including revenue generation, training delivery, and partnership execution.

Ensure efficient processes, compliance, and high-quality standards across all activities.

Implement systems for monitoring performance and reporting progress to the board.

2. Programme and Training Management

Coordinate the delivery of training programmes, ensuring alignment with international standards and participant needs.

Manage relationships with training providers and monitor quality and outcomes.

Drive continuous improvement in programme delivery and operational efficiency.

Senior Accountant

Overview:

The Senior Accountant will support the month-end close process, reconciliations, and daily accounting operations across multiple entities. This role will also help manage AR, AP, payroll, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
  • Reconcile and monitor clearing accounts to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Distribute and review employee expense reports for accuracy and budget compliance.
  • Process contractor payments and payroll for U.S.-based employees.
  • Manage wholesale accounts receivable in coordination with the collections team.
  • Ensure sales tax filings are prepared accurately and submitted on time (Vertex or Avalara a plus).
  • Assist in maintaining a 13-week cash forecast.
  • Support month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Ensure transactions are recorded to the correct GL, entity, location, and cost center.
  • Maintain accurate records of intercompany transactions and allocations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, and the Cost Accounting team.

Principal EC&I Engineer

The Principal Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) design engineer will be responsible for leading a design team or provide EC&I expertise within a multi-discipline team delivering one or more design projects. These designs will cover the full project life cycle from concept design through to manufacture and commissioning.

When leading a project, the Principal EC&I engineer shall be responsible for the coordination, planning and approval of designs in accordance with the required standards, procedures and requirements.   2. Provide verbal and written translation support (Bulgarian to English and English to Bulgarian) when required.
  3. Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings, workshops, and onsite activities.
