Structural Engineer (Subsea Projects)

Join us as a Structural Engineer in Aberdeen

As a Structural Engineer, you will work in a role supporting projects with any structural design requirements they have. The role will be focused on seafastening design and the design of installation aids such as hang off platforms, collars and clamps, spreader beams/lifting beams. You will join the Atlantic Design and Analysis team which supports all projects being executed from the Atlantic region, including Norway, UK, West Africa and Mediterranean offshore sites.

Responsibilities:

    • Supporting the Design and Analysis team with structural engineering requests
    • Working with the project teams to develop solutions for tenders and projects
    • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the scope of work are covered
    • Reviewing and updating design packages based on lessons learned and best practices

Whilst this is an office-based position, there will be opportunities to spend time working in other DOF locations and attend vessel familiarisation visits.  We also offer a hybrid working setup where employees can elect to work from home on certain days of the week.

Subsea Field Engineer - Offshore

Join us as a Subsea Field Engineer

DOF Subsea Atlantic is seeking two Subsea Field Engineers to join one of our CSVs to support the delivery of subsea projects.  The Field Engineer will be based on the vessel full time on a rota of up to 6 weeks on / off.  This role will suit someone with a strong background in the preparation and delivery of offshore subsea construction, decommissioning or IRM projects.  We are looking for a candidate with a flexible mindset that can use their experience to support the project team before and during execution offshore.  The role will also require integration into the Offshore Management Team (OMT) so that they can work on improving efficiencies linked to project delivery and build a strong relationship so that they can act as the bridge between the OMT and the onshore project teams.  This role is linked to a vessel which works primarily in the Atlantic region (North Sea) but there may be opportunities to support other regions as well. This is an offshore role primarily but may include occasional office visits to support constructability reviews, risk assessments or other project related meetings.

Draftsperson - Subsea Projects

Join us as a Draughtsperson in Aberdeen

As a Draughtsperson, you will work in a role that produces 2D/3D procedural drawings to aid projects from tender to as-built. You will use AutoCAD and other computer aided design software to prepare drawings to a high standard for use within our subsea department which will be critical for project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Drawing creation using company templates
  • Producing drawings for subsea project delivery
  • Supporting the drawing office in development of processes and drawing templates
  • Reviewing and updating drawings with input from Engineering team
