About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Recruiter who can own the full hiring lifecycle - from posting roles through offer. This person will be the primary recruiting partner for US-based hiring managers, filling Senior and Director-level roles across the company. You'll manage sourcing, screening, scheduling, candidate communication, and all the administrative work that keeps a pipeline moving.

About the Data Team

We're a high-leverage team of Product Data Analysts embedded across the business, owning the semantic layer and the metrics everyone trusts. The experimentation program runs on real rigor, not vibes: pre-registered analysis plans gate every test launch, anytime-valid statistics keep mid-run dashboards honest under continuous viewing, automated daily SRM and attribution health sweeps catch broken tests early, and seasonal power forecasting accounts for a business that swings hard by time of year. The test lifecycle, design through readout, is already AI-driven. Our analysts are stretched across product, so Growth support has stayed part-time and reactive, until now.

AI coding agents are a force multiplier here — they give a small, senior team the leverage to ship more, faster, and at a higher bar for quality. We hire engineers who are wired for ownership and energized by shipping to a real marketplace with customers and pros on both sides.

You're the engineering anchor of an initiative — working as part of a tight team with your PM and designer, and alongside engineering peers on adjacent initiatives. Our engineering team builds the platform that connects hundreds of thousands of homeowners with over 70,000 active service pros. We operate three brands (LawnStarter, Lawn Love, HomeGnome) on shared infrastructure, and we're profitable and growing. Engineering here is fast - we ship constantly, we own our systems end-to-end, and we don't tolerate "not my problem." We have strong processes and existing engineering managers, so you're not building from scratch. You're raising the bar.

The Role

We're growing, and that means adding engineering leadership capacity to support new initiatives. You'll lead cross-functional delivery teams of 4–5 engineers, reporting to our Head of Engineering. Your job is to make sure your team ships reliably, grows professionally, and doesn't become a bottleneck as LawnStarter scales into new service verticals.

What we don't have is someone dedicated to owning that vision: every QA is heads-down on their own team, so nobody has the room to drive the standards forward, unify how the squad works, or push the state of the art. That's the gap this role fills. It's not a nice-to-have we're adding because things are going well. It's the structure and leadership we need to make what we've already built actually compound.

You'll be LawnStarter's first Principal Quality Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. We already have quality standards, working CI/CD gates, and AI tooling in the mix.
