Role Overview:

The Technical Director holds overarching responsibility for the strategic leadership, development, and execution of all technical, engineering, and tendering operations of the company, focusing on both hazardous and non-hazardous waste management projects. Our client is seeking a Nuclear Safety procedure developer and analyst.  They will support the refurbishment project by supporting the execution of safety analysis and/or aiding in the development of operational procedures and documentation related to core surveillance and testing. The Nuclear Safety procedure developer and analyst will work closely with the project team and the station to ensure that the work conducted in support of the refurbishment project adheres to its safety, licensing, budget, schedule, and quality objectives.

Responsibilities include:

The EC&I design engineer will be responsible for supporting other engineers in delivering design projects or leading small EC&I project tasks with the support of other engineers. This will include full project life cycle from concept design through to manufacture and commissioning.

Tasks could include:

• Delivering design project deliverables.  Covering the full project life cycle from concept design through to manufacture and commissioning.
• Producing the required EC&I design documents and drawings to the standards, procedures and requirements set out by the project under supervision.
• Responsibility for the coordination, planning and delivery of designs in accordance with the required standards, procedures and requirements set out by the project.

Requirements

Within the Nuclear Safety area, you will deliver technically competent documents striving to exceed client requirements, by working independently as well as supporting experienced safety consultants.

You will support clients in projects of new build, decommissioning or ongoing operational facilities in providing safety cases and associated assessments.  To ensure work is delivered to a high standard, timely and to the programme agreed.  As projects progress, or new ones become available, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills and to support, mentor graduate consultants within the business.
The Principal Nuclear Safety Lead will deliver complex nuclear safety cases, with experience of the full lifecycle of facilities, to a variety of clients.
