This position ensures the reliable operation, coordination, and continuous improvement of production environments, training operations, and value stream activities that support the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and associated clinical information systems.

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operational execution rather than serving solely in an advisory capacity. The Senior Production/Operations Specialist provides the operational leadership necessary to coordinate cross-functional teams, optimize workflows, monitor production performance, and ensure healthcare technology services are delivered efficiently, reliably, and in alignment with organizational priorities.

By supporting informatics surge operations and production management activities, this position helps prevent disruptions in medication ordering, clinical documentation, diagnostic results reporting, and Clinical Decision Support (CDS) performance. These efforts directly contribute to patient safety, continuity of care, quality improvement, and timely clinical operations across the VHA enterprise.
