The Design Team Lead runs the day to day work of our Design Team. There are two sides to it. One is craft, which means keeping the standard of the design work high across every client we serve. The other is people, which means keeping the team organised, supported, and able to do good work without getting stuck.

Most of what the team produces is email and SMS campaign design for ecommerce brands, along with ad images, GIFs, short video edits, and the occasional landing page. You will still design yourself, but the larger part of the job is making sure what goes out is right. You'll sit at the centre of marketing as the connective layer between product go-to-market, brand, performance, content, CRM, community, design and PR. Half the job is orchestration: owning the communications calendar and running launches end to end, on time, across every channel. The other half is the message: making sure what we say about any product is clear, consistent, on-brand and worth a user's attention.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with company-wide visibility. You will not manage a team — you will manage the flow of work between several of them.
