We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team  of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s accounting processes

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and approving invoice accounting entries
  • Reviewing and approving accounts payable invoice postings before payment
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Ensuring invoices are correctly allocated to the appropriate  vessels, departments
  • Ensuring compliance with tax obligations
  • Monitoring and resolving discrepancies between invoices
  • Contributing to the overall efficient operation of the department and being fully aware of its processes

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field
  • Solid previous experience in Accounting Department
  • Computer literacy. Familiarity with Danaos ERP will be considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English

The Accountant role is responsible for timely and accurate provision of financial data and maintaining integrity of the general ledger, ensuring that accounting processes are carried out in a timely and materially accurate manner.

·         Support and train new joiners to perform their duties.
