What's the role?

The official job title is Supply Chain Specialist - Procurement and will be based in our Stockholm office.

The role will be responsible for the strategic and tactical procurement of goods and services supporting the manufacture and assembly of seismic recording instruments used in offshore geophysical studies. This position will develop and execute sourcing and category management strategies for critical, high-value and technically complex goods and services required for original equipment manufacturing operations. Working across a global supply base, the role will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations and commercial agreements to optimize total cost, quality, delivery, working capital and continuity of supply.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in strategic sourcing and procurement within OEM manufacturing, contract manufacturing or Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) environments, together with proven experience managing complex global supply chains and leading multi-million-dollar commercial negotiations. This role involves managing the procurement process for a wide range of maritime and seismic specific requirements, including vessel supplies, equipment, spare parts, maintenance services, port services, seismic acquisition equipment (e.g., streamers, sources, nodes), seismic processing software and hardware, survey vessel services, offshore positioning and navigation systems, and related geophysical technologies. The position requires considerable understanding of the maritime seismic survey industry, the technical specifications of geophysical equipment and services, the unique operational demands of survey vessels, and stringent safety and environmental regulations.
