As a Lead Product Data Analyst, you'll directly impact our results through insights and reports. You'll work closely with product managers, researchers, and other business stakeholders, helping with prioritization, assessments, and business recommendations. We're a high-leverage team of Product Data Analysts embedded across the business, owning the semantic layer and the metrics everyone trusts. The experimentation program runs on real rigor, not vibes: pre-registered analysis plans gate every test launch, anytime-valid statistics keep mid-run dashboards honest under continuous viewing, automated daily SRM and attribution health sweeps catch broken tests early, and seasonal power forecasting accounts for a business that swings hard by time of year. The test lifecycle, design through readout, is already AI-driven. Our analysts are stretched across product, so Growth support has stayed part-time and reactive, until now.

About the First Service Experience at LawnStarter

Every new customer meets us the same way. They land on our home page or marketing site, then move through a signup and booking flow where they get a quote, pick a service and a schedule, and pay. That flow runs across all three brands and brings in most of the company's new customers.

We built it many years ago. It's too long, and we lose customers at too many steps. So the real question isn't how to remove a step. It's whether the experience designed still makes sense at all, or whether it should be rethought entirely as an AI-native, agentic experience.

You'll also work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering peers across initiatives in a shared codebase. The whole team owns whether the work moves its metric.

AI coding agents are a force multiplier here — they give a small, senior team the leverage to ship more, faster, and at a higher bar for quality. We hire engineers who are wired for ownership and energized by shipping to a real marketplace with customers and pros on both sides.

You're the engineering anchor of an initiative — working as part of a tight team with your PM and designer, and alongside engineering peers on adjacent initiatives. You have a hand in the full lifecycle: shaping the problem, deciding the technical approach, directing AI agents to implement much of the code, shipping to production, and — with your team — owning the outcome.

What we don't have is someone dedicated to owning that vision: every QA is heads-down on their own team, so nobody has the room to drive the standards forward, unify how the squad works, or push the state of the art. That's the gap this role fills. It's not a nice-to-have we're adding because things are going well. It's the structure and leadership we need to make what we've already built actually compound.

You'll be LawnStarter's first Principal Quality Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. We already have quality standards, working CI/CD gates, and AI tooling in the mix.
