Our client, a high-growth fintech venture backed by leading industry accelerators, is developing a next-generation institutional trading venue for foreign exchange (FX) hedging. To drive this technical vision forward, our client is seeking a Founding Engineer with co-founder-level ownership to architect and build core financial infrastructure.

This role offers up to 5% equity and is designed for an ambitious, highly skilled engineer who thrives in an intense startup environment, works at an exceptional speed using modern AI-native development workflows, and is based in, or willing to relocate to New York City.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely first-level IT support to users, addressing hardware, software, and network problems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and business applications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and inventory of IT assets.
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects and upgrades.
• Train and guide users on IT policies and procedures.

The Service Desk Technician provides Level 1 and 2 support for technology devices and applications in the workplace. The role is responsible for timely resolution of incidents and requests received at the Help Desk. The Technician is responsible for provision, build and configuration of company issued devices and those that are in our facilities. They are responsible for initial triage, support and resolution of application incidents and provisioning requests. The technician adheres to IT Service Management (ITSM) processes through consistent logging and resolution of tickets logged in the system. They will maintain workplace device inventory, prepare reports and work on custom projects for business users. The role requires a high level of interaction with business users and IT teams with a mindset to go above and beyond to enable superior customer experience.

Currently processing ~$1B in daily volume, their technology stack handles low-latency, high-throughput, and constant load at a scale few companies ever reach.

The Role

In this role, you will act as a technical anchor, overseeing the integrity and evolution of their core backend systems. You will balance high-level architectural governance with deep-tier execution, driving technical excellence from the front. Your primary focus will be the proactive mitigation of scaling risks and the design of durable, fault-tolerant systems capable of sustaining high-throughput workloads.
