What's the role?

This role will be part of our Manta Technology team and will be responsible for architecting and implementing the core server-side components that power Digest core applications. This position will be responsible for developing new programs and producing updates or amendments, in accordance with the constraints set in the development plan. This position will collaborate closely with front-end engineers, data scientists, and geophysicists to ensure seamless performance across offshore deployments and field operations. Engineering Manager

We are hiring a Senior Blockchain Engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of the components that connect our platform to every major blockchain network. This role is both hands-on and strategic, focusing on speed, resilience, and security under high-stakes financial workloads.

You will own the entire lifecycle of blockchain integrations, from low-level data indexing to high-level API design and smart contract development. You will improve our indexing and monitoring infrastructure, ensure secure integrations across diverse networks, and build tools that make our wallet platform faster and easier for partners to adopt.

You will own mission-critical projects end-to-end, acting as a technical leader who drives engineering standards and the long-term vision. This is a high-impact role focused on turning advanced cryptography into fast, resilient, and trusted production infrastructure.

As a Core Systems Engineer, you will work deep in the stack, designing and scaling reliable distributed services and integrating them with cloud, hardware, and blockchain environments. You will collaborate across product, research, and security to implement advanced cryptographic and security protocols using low-level systems languages.

You will play a critical role in designing database solutions, optimizing queries, managing replication, and ensuring data integrity.

Responsibilities:

Database Architecture & Design

• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas for high-performance applications.
• Develop strategies for data partitioning, replication, and scaling.
• Evaluate and implement new database technologies for performance and reliability.

Maintenance & Optimization

• Monitor database performance and implement query optimization, indexing, and caching strategies.

What we’re looking for:

• 3-4 years of experience in backend development with Python 3.x (FastAPI or Flask);
• Strong skills in designing and building RESTful APIs;
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, data structures, and algorithms;
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp) and API integrations;
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with ORMs (SQLAlchemy or Django ORM);
• Practical experience with caching tools (Redis, Memcached) and database migrations;
• Good understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git);
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and web servers (Nginx, Gunicorn, Uvicorn);
• Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and system design;
