Join DOF as a Casual Offshore Vessel Coordinator!

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Vessel Coordinator to join our Crewing team on a casual basis. As the Offshore Vessel Coordinator, you will be responsible for administration and logistical support, in accordance with DOF standards, on our vessels. These are casual positions working remotely with a rotational rostered pattern.

The successful individual will be pivotal in supporting DOF Australia's Project and Marine teams with various logistics, administrative and crew resource management tasks in compliance with regulatory frameworks. You will establish and maintain strong relationships with the various stakeholders that include Vessel Masters, Offshore Managers, Offshore Crew and the Crewing team to support the seamless execution of the offshore activities.

As a Junior Crew Operator

You will coordinate the crew change planning for seafarers of the assigned fleet (5-7 vessels) in compliance with international maritime standards.

As a part of your role, you will:

• Be responsible in crew change planning of the assigned fleet
• Communicate crew needs to Danaos site and manning offices
• Screen and monitor seafarers’ application forms and certificates
• Coordinate the logistics of daily crew movement and the proper execution
• Coordinate all travelling/ticketing arrangements

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Degree in Shipping/Maritime
• Up to 3 years of experience as Crew Operator
• Familiarity with STCW and MLC convention
• Computer literacy, (experience with Danaos Software will be considered as an additional asset)
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
• Efficiency in troubleshooting, organizing skills, attention to detail
