Position Overview:

·         Serve as the Program Manager/Contract Task Manager on a defense service contract.

·         Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and contract management for a geographically dispersed team delivering materiel fielding, medical liaison, management analysis, logistics analysis, and transportation coordination.

·         Act as the primary contractor interface with the Contracting Officer’s Representative and customer stakeholders, with authority to direct personnel and coordinate corporate resources within contract scope.

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our team, contributing to our technical projects, responsible for supporting and overseeing the rollout of Fiber Optic Networks and Mobile Base Station Networks. The role involves close monitoring of project execution, materials management, site inspections, and overall coordination of network deployment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the rollout of fiber optic and mobile base station network infrastructure.
• Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful implementation.
• Oversee materials procurement, inventory, and allocation for assigned projects.
• Conduct on-site inspections (site surveys) to ensure quality, compliance, and project progress.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
• Ensure adherence to company standards, health & safety requirements, and client specifications.
• Support the Project Manager in daily operations and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Warehouse team for materials.
• Check of site folders.

Requirements

Candidate must have 5 years of work experience in design and engineering (Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design) for Oil & Gas / Industrial Telecom in the Middle East (preferably Qatar).
Candidate must be able to perform standard design tasks for Telecommunication systems. The systems will typically fall into one of the following categories for onshore and offshore applications in the oil and gas industry:
o  Information and Communications Technology (LAN, WLAN, Telephony)
o  Radio system (VHF, UHF, DMR, Microwave)
o  Security and surveillance (access control, CCTV, PIDS)
o  Public address and life safety (PAGA, Page Party)
o  Marine safety and communications
o  Entertainment and lifestyle systems
o  Cabinets, OSP, ISP cabling, and infrastructure
Candidate must have experience in carrying out site surveys, as required to prepare engineering deliverables.
Candidate must have experience in preparing standard telecom deliverables such as Telecom Site Survey Report, Design Basis, Specifications, Datasheets, Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Equipment and Cable Route Layouts, Typical Installation Details, Calculations, Equipment and Cable Schedules, MTO, MR, etc.
Candidate must have experience in client coordination, attending internal and external meetings.
Experience in working with QatarEnergy and Qatar Shell GTL will be an added advantage.
