Senior Vetting Superintendent

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an international ship management company, a global leader in the industry, a dynamic Senior Vetting Superintendent.

This position will involve worldwide travelling to tankers for pre-assessments and preparations of SIRE inspections as well as attending actual inspections. Where appropriate, visits will be combined with marine visits and internal audit requirements. Additionally, the position will involve day-to-day office responsibilities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: 

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role or as Marine Superintendent
  • At least 2 years of previous seagoing experience in a senior position on tankers
  • Extensive experience with OCIMF SIRE and Rightship inspections with proven results
  • Auditing qualification will be considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • High sense of professionalism and responsibility
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication/report writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Excellent command of the written and spoken English language

HSSEQ Superintendent

Marine Engineer

As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, repairs, and inspections of our vessels' mechanical and electrical systems. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and diagnosing any technical issues that may arise during operations.


Shifts can vary between 13 - 15 hours in duration depending on the day of the week and peak holiday times and follow a 3 days on 3 days off roster including public holidays.  Based primarily out of our Hamer Street terminal, you will gain wide exposure to all our vessels and as such, no two days will be the same.


We are seeking a Marine Engineer that has a minimum of 2 years experience, to join our dynamic team of maritime professionals, and embark on a rewarding career in marine engineering with SeaLink Travel Group!
