Current Senior Openings:

  • Director of Engineering (Refurbishment): Act as the Project Design Authority. You will oversee the technical integrity, licensing basis, and long-term asset management for the entire life-extension scope

  • Refurbishment Engineering Superintendent: Lead the bridge between design and execution. You’ll manage the engineering teams focused on the physical reactor overhaul and core component replacement.

  • Senior Project Manager (Budget & Risks): Take ownership of the €1.8B+ Phase 2/3 roadmap. We need a master of complex nuclear CAPEX, contingency planning, and strategic risk mitigation.

The Project

The Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) campaign is the heart of this project, involving the complex removal and installation of reactor feeders. We need a seasoned expert to oversee the welding, fabrication, and installation of these critical systems.

The Role

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep field experience in CANDU retubing. You will act as the technical authority on feeder welding and installation, bridging the gap between engineering design and site execution. You will oversee vendors, approve welding procedures, and troubleshoot complex tooling and fit-up issues directly on the reactor face.

Re-tube Tooling Expert

On behalf of our client, we are supporting to recruit a Re-tube Tooling Expert to work in accordance with the prescribed safety procedures and regulations.

Role Responsibilities:

· Support Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) superintendent within the Engineering Department in the evaluation for acceptance of detailed solutions, technical specifications, implementation, and test plans with respect to retube activities.

· Provide oversight and verification of the complex implementation and test plans for critical activities in the retube areas.

· Review and accept work packages, work instructions, tooling operating procedures, tooling test reports and other retube related deliverables from the contractor(s) using similar past projects experience.

· Witness tool testing to detect deficiencies and ensure their expeditious resolution by the contractor(s).

· Using expertise and experience from similar previous projects, participate in problem solving/technical discussions related to process issues or tooling performance issues.

· Monitor and ensure that retube activities are performed in accordance with approved project procedures, schedule, budget, and relevant QA processes.

· Define and manage interfaces and scope of work to ensure adequate integration and alignment with the project priorities.

· Provide retube tooling design and operation expertise and verify system-level design documentation.
