We are looking for a Scientific Data Manager to support biological reference data management activities within a leading pharmaceutical R&D environment. You will work at the interface between Data Management, Translational Medicine, Scientific Experts, and IT teams to ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of biological substance data across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support biological reference data activities across interconnected scientific systems.
• Collect business requirements and challenge use cases to improve data quality and business processes.
• Define and maintain data integrity and data quality rules.
• Write functional specifications and execute validation testing activities.
• Prepare test plans, test evidence, and validation documentation using Jira/Xray.
• Support Agile teams in implementing and validating new system functionalities.
• Produce user guides, training materials, and business rule documentation in English and French.
• Review and validate data consistency scripts developed in Python or C#.
• Support project and run activities related to biological reference data management.
• Coordinate outsourced operational activities related to data management services.

Main Responsibilities

·       Deeply acknowledges and strictly follows Excelya and Client’s SOPs, guidelines and appropriate local and international legislation.

·       CDMI works under the supervision of more senior staff (Manager or Senior CDM).

·       Responsible for data cleaning, data review, discrepancy management and data reconciliation activities on the studies assigned to him/her.

·       Work closely with the Lead Data Manager responsible for the study.

·       Generate study metrics and status reports within and across several studies.

The role focuses on assessing data quality, measuring FAIRness, reinforcing data integrity, and supporting referential data controls, while contributing to reporting, documentation, and dashboarding activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assess data quality within the defined scope and identify areas for improvement.
• Measure and document the FAIRness (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) of data assets.
• Contribute to Data Integrity analyses of critical business and technical processes.
• Document data assets and processes using ad‑hoc tools such as data catalogs and data contracts.
• Implement and monitor data quality controls on referential data managed by the department.
• Contribute to dashboarding and automation initiatives to support data monitoring and reporting.
• Produce monthly activity reports and deliver mission‑related documentation in line with applicable procedures.
