SQE Coordinator

Due to the expansion of our fleet, we are seeking for an SQE Coordinator.

As a part of your role, you will:

  • Support SQE Department and SQE Superintendents
  • Review all vessels’ incoming memo and coordinate correspondence
  • Update SMS manuals and forms
  • Handle documentations of vessels’ entries to countries
  • Prepare DTF for vessels
  • Support audits and reviews processes
  • Conduct SQE department’s filing
  • Monitor status and organize/attend Company and vessel 3rd Party and Internal Audits attending to the closing of any findings
  • Monitor PSC inspections and closing of defects.
  • Monitor and close findings of Safety Meetings.
  • Carry out revisions to ISM Manuals
  • Support vetting tasks

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Degree in Shipping/Maritime
  • Relevant experience in an SQE Department (SMS manuals, vetting, PSC, audits)
  • Computer literacy, (experience with Danaos Software will be considered as an additional asset)
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
  • Efficiency in troubleshooting, organizing skills, attention to detail
  • Experience in a relevant position will be considered an asset

About us

Due to the expansion of our fleet we are actively seeking for an experienced SQE Superintendent.

You will ensure the compliance of vessels and office with the standards and authorities through regular audits and reviews with guidance

As a part of your role, you will:

  • Organize and implement a plan of internal audits within the Company's operation, analyzing and reporting findings
  • Ensure that findings of 3rd Party Audits are properly attended to, closed and reports analysis
  • Ensure full investigations of all accidents and dangerous occurrences, prepare periodic evaluation of such occurrences and prepares relevant reports
  • Monitor PSC/FSI inspections and closings of defects for the Fleet assigned
  • Evaluate crew o/b

HSSEQ Superintendent

Tarefas incluem, mas não se limitam a:

Recolher os SOC (Safety Observation Card) e sugestões da embarcação e lançar no DOCMAP. Monitorar prazos de ações e fechamento das observações;

Manter os SOC originais arquivados e organizados a bordo;

Inserir no sistema informações de segurança tais como: observações de segurança, auditoria comportamental, etc.;

Assegurar que sejam realizadas Análises de Risco, Permissão de Trabalho e Tool Box Talk antes de iniciarem as atividades a bordo, a fim de garantir que estas sejam executadas dentro das condições adequadas de segurança e de acordo com as normas dispostas na legislação;

Monitorar os documentos PPRA, Mapas de Risco, Plano de Espaços Confinados da embarcação;

Acompanhar as avaliações ambientais (PPRA, análises ergonômicas, etc.) realizadas a bordo sempre que necessário / solicitado;

Realizar (e participar) reuniões de segurança semanais na embarcação;

Realizar DDSMS (Diálogos de Segurança, Meio Ambiente e Saúde);
