Cruise Whitsundays, based in Airlie Beach is the largest marine-based tour and transport provider in the Whitsundays. Due to the expansion of our fleet we are seeking for a Purchasing Operator.

You will be responsible for the purchasing operations of the assigned vessels.

As a part of your role, you will:

• Receive vessels’ requisitions
• Organize and coordinate purchasing
• Gather quotations from suppliers
• Place orders to suppliers
• Arrange forwarding if needed
• Verify completion of deliveries in vessels
• Processes invoices and submits for payments

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have

• Degree in shipping or engineering or relevant
• Experience in a purchasing position of a shipping company (3-5 years)
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
• Familiarity with Danaos ERP will be considered as an asset
