Compensation: Up to £65 per hour

We are looking for a highly skilled Smart Contract Engineer with deep expertise in both Solidity (EVM) and Rust to join our elite engineering team at MLabs. In this role, you will be subcontracted to work directly with one of our premier clients—leading innovators in the DeFi space—building next-generation financial infrastructure on Base, Arbitrum, and other EVM-compatible networks.

As a bridge between the smart contract layer and high-performance systems, you will architect, develop, and secure complex DeFi protocols. You aren’t just writing code; you are building the "money legos" of the future, ensuring they are gas-efficient, battle-tested, and capable of handling significant TVL (Total Value Locked).

We are seeking an experienced Topside Lead Structural Engineer to support a high-profile project involving the fabrication of a topside for an offshore electrical substation. The engineering studies will be subcontracted, and we require a senior professional to supervise, review, and coordinate these activities directly on-site in Cádiz.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontracted structural engineering studies, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Serve as the main interface between the client and subcontractors, facilitating efficient communication and issue resolution.
  • Review, validate, and approve structural calculations, drawings, and design reports in line with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide advanced expertise in offshore structural analysis, particularly topsides and jackets.
  • Perform and oversee jacket analyses (temporary and in-service phases) using SACS software.
  • Apply finite element analysis (FEA) to verify, optimize, and secure robust designs.

Requirements

10–15 years of experience in offshore structural engineering, including topsides and jackets.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (or related field).
