Chartering Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Chartering Manager to establish and lead our Houston office. This key role will be responsible for developing our presence in the region, overseeing spot and long-term chartering activities, and managing general shipping and logistics projects within the tanker sector. The ideal candidate will have strong market knowledge, a proactive mindset, and the ability to drive business growth.

1. Office Establishment & Business Development

  • Lead the setup and development of our Houston office, aligning with company strategy and goals.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to grow our presence in the U.S. and Americas region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Charterers, shipowners, brokers, operators, and cargo interests.
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities.

2. Spot & Long-Term Chartering/relationships (Tankers)

  • Manage and execute spot chartering contracts, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
  • Develop and negotiate long-term charter agreements
  • Monitor market trends, freight rates, and competitor activities to provide strategic recommendations.
