Staff Frontend Engineer - Global Trade Comment Network

Location: New York City (Hybrid)

Compensation: $180K - $250K

We are building the global trade comment network, a protocol designed to solve the core problem of discovery in trading: what to buy and why. Our solution allows users to comment on their trades and see the trade comments of others, turning trading into a high-frequency social activity. We are backed by world-class investors and are seeking a highly experienced Staff Frontend Engineer to build and scale our mobile and web applications.

This is a high-impact role requiring deep experience in building and scaling complex mobile and web applications that power high-frequency social interactions. You will own the responsibility for ensuring a smooth UX and sub-second rendering across feeds of thousands of items, tackling meat-and-potatoes software engineering challenges to deliver a reliable and engaging product across devices.

The UI Designer crafts visually compelling, intuitive, and consistent interfaces for digital products. You’ll translate complex functionality into user-friendly interfaces and design systems that promote clarity, confidence, and delight.

Key Responsibilities

• Create visually engaging and accessible designs for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries.
• Design clear, effective data visualizations for insights and recommendations.
• Define UI patterns for transparency, user control, and error handling.
• Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to deliver polished, high-performing interfaces.
• Build interactive prototypes to validate designs and gather feedback.
• Incorporate feedback and usability data to continuously refine designs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in UI Design or Visual Product Design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI design for digital products.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and usability principles.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
