We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, a boutique luxury hotel, a Chef de Cuisine.
The ideal candidate will have an innovative and creative approach towards food and menu development, focusing on Mediterranean cuisine, offering a unique dining experience to the guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Develop and design menus that reflect the Mediterranean culinary tradition, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
- Train, supervise, and inspire kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional working environment.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen in accordance with HACCP.
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses to meet budgetary goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef/ Head Chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Expertise in Mediterranean cuisine, with a deep understanding of traditional and contemporary cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
