In the framework of a FLNG Project, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer for one of our clients.

The role of the Electrical Engineer includes the following aspects:

  • Support procurement of electrical packages : technical bid evaluations, vendor documents review (during bid phase and during execution), fabrication follow-up.
  • Comment and validate documentation issued by Engineering Contractor.
  • Attend FAT/SAT.
  • Support during construction and pre-commissioning. Address site queries.
  • Assist for site commissioning and start-up as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate Engineer (ideally electrical engineering)
  • English speaking. French will be highly appreciated.
  • 8 years experience minimum

  • Required experiences:
  1. Experience in marine / retrofit (FSO, FPSO) …
  2. Experience with E-House, including HVAC
  3. Experience in Oil & Gas, either for an engineering company, or for an EPC Contractor
  4. Experience in the follow up of Vendors for electrical Equipments (HV &LV switchgears, transformers, UPS, bulk items) and E-house
  5. Experience in construction follow-up
  6. Experience in precommissioning, commissioning & troubleshooting is a strong plus.

The client will subcontract the engineering studies, and we require a skilled professional to supervise and coordinate these activities on-site in Cádiz.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the subcontracted structural calculations and studies for the topside project.
  • Act as the focal point for client-subcontractor interface, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Review, validate, and approve structural calculations and designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in structural analysis, particularly in offshore structures, using software such as SACS.
  • Utilize finite element analysis (FEA) methods to verify and optimize designs.
  • Monitor subcontractor progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

Proven experience in structural calculations for offshore structures, including topsides.

Proficiency in SACS software is mandatory.
