Remote Swedish Translator - eCommerce Marketing Agency

We are looking for a Translator to interpret written pieces from English to Swedish, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format, and tone.

Translator responsibilities include reading and thoroughly understanding the context of a given material (copy), using specialized dictionaries and translation tools and proofreading finished pieces of work. To be successful in this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and be fluent in English in addition to your native language.

Requirements

  • Native Swedish Speaker
  • Availability of at least 3-5 hours a week
  • Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter, or similar role
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
  • Good knowledge of content editing tools
  • Familiarity with translation software
  • Time-management skills

    For the first 6 months, we are offering $15 per hour. The reason we’re offering hourly compensation is that our copies are shorter and more tricky compared to other texts. We count the time our translators spend on researching and brainstorming too (as well as proofreading of course). Then, we aim for a 10% increment in your first year working with us. We currently have a team of 10+ translators and our translations team is constantly growing!
